How to Map a Network Drive
(For Mapping drive at home: VPN needs to be ON before doing steps below)
- Click on File Explorer located on your Taskbar
- Once File Explorer is opened, Right Click on “This PC” and choose “Map network drive..."
- Choose the Drive Letter you’d like
(Note: The drive letter can be anything)
- Under “Folder”, type the path of the network drive:
Examples include:
\\path-thor-08\Exchange
\\path-thor-08\cmocolab$
\\path-thor-08\CMOCOBioinformatics$
\\path-thor-08\fish$
- Make sure to double check spelling on your Drive Name. The path must be accurate, otherwise it won’t find it.
- Click Finish
- It may ask you to authenticate using a username and password. In this case, be sure to enter your username as "University\[YOUR USERNAME]". (See Example below)
