How to Map a Network Drive

(For Mapping drive at home: VPN needs to be ON before doing steps below)  

1. Click on File Explorer located on your Taskbar

 

2. Once File Explorer is opened, Right Click on “This PC” and choose “Map network drive..."        
3. 
4. Choose the Drive Letter you’d like

(Note: The drive letter can be anything) 

4. Under “Folder”, type the path of the network drive:

Examples include:

\\path-thor-08\Exchange

\\path-thor-08\cmocolab$

\\path-thor-08\CMOCOBioinformatics$

\\path-thor-08\fish$

5. Make sure to double check spelling on your Drive Name. The path must be accurate, otherwise it won’t find it.
6. Click Finish
7. It may ask you to authenticate using a username and password. In this case, be sure to enter your username as "University\[YOUR USERNAME]". (See Example below)
