How to remote into your desktop

You will need VPN access to remotely connect to CU Anschutz computers

Please request access by clicking here if you have not already applied for VPN access

You can download the required Global Protect application by clicking here and scrolling down to the Windows or MacOS downloads

1. Open the Global Protect app, ensure the Portal IP Address/Domain is: amc-vpn.ucdenver.edu

   

2. It will bring you to a login screen for your CU account and Duo 2-factor authentication

   

3. Once connected to VPN, go to the Windows search bar and type in Remote Desktop Connection

   

4. In the application that opens, type in the name of your computer and click connect

   Please reference this article to find your host computer's "Device name" to enter in this field

5. The next screen will be a login prompt. If you do not see the "Domain: UNIVERSITY" as shown in the image below, please use the following format:
   Username: university\username
   Password: CU Anschutz password
   
   If you do see the "Domain: UNIVERSITY", use the following format without the preceding "university\":
   Username: username
   Password: CU Anschutz password

6. Click okay or press enter and you'll be logging into your desktop.
